I'd really love to see Celebrimbor and Annatar in the Second Age...and maybe Gil-Galad too...although it would be weird seeing him without his Istelion! ;-)

Not the Silmarillion, that would be a separate agreement if it happened at all, but the Appendices are open it seems

I'm always baffled by what is and isn't on the table, rights-wise, but if Christopher T has resigned, does that mean we could get an adaptation of the Silm (or parts of it)?

Article on The One Ring.net - Christopher Tolkien has resigned as director of the Tolkien Estate. This could change 'everything' to quote.

I should think they'll have actors falling over themselves for this. If it's done well the fandom will go boom!

Title: The Circles: Book 2: Journey of Sorrow by Angmar and Elfhild
Rated: Mature [Reviews - 0]
Summary: After arriving at the ruins of Minas Tirith, the Rohirric captives are handed over to a group of Haradric slavers led by Esarhaddon uHuzziya, one of the owners of a slave trading business in Nurn. A man of might and mastery, this handsome, rakish Southron symbolizes everything that the Rohirric women dread.

Orphaned, their land destroyed, twins Elfhild and Elffled struggle to remain defiant against their foes. Goldwyn, stern and proud, refuses to surrender to despair's throes like so many others have done.

Each step on this journey of sorrow takes the Rohirric captives closer to Mordor, the Land of Shadows from which there is no return. Is there any hope of escape, or is slavery to be their doom?

The second book in "The Circles" - an alternative universe tale exploring what might have happened had the ending of The Lord of the Rings been different.
