Ysilme, that does sound wonderful, I am so jealous. There's something magical about a really good concert.

I've been to the most wonderful concert yesterday, Swedish Folk string trio Väsen. The music was so beautiful, and it felt so much like Middle-earth, too. (now I need to figure out

Sign of a good fic, if you ask me :)

:D this fic keeps mutating. So far it's sprouted four OCs and an unexpected plot twist which impacts stories that come chronologically later in the series...it's a nightmare but I love it!

Twentysomething, blonde, accountant by day and geek by night. Rather inclined to giggle, doesn't put things away.

I'm narya_flame on Dreamwidth, and naryaflame on Tumblr. Feel free to stop by and say hi, I like meeting people.

I also post at SWG and AO3, as Narya and Narya_flame respectively, but this is my main archive.

4/7/2012 - to keep things reasonably tidy around here, I've decided to group my super-short canon-based stories into one collection, The Lost Scrolls. Anything over 500 words, or that fits specifically into one of my 'verses, will be given its own story link.

Summary: Stories of The House of Finwë, their followers and friends, the Powers that shaped their lives, and their long fight against the dark.

My eventual plan is that this series will contain all sorts from fluffy gen to smut, humour to horror, drabbles to multi-chapter sagas. I have too many ideas to say if or when it will be finished, and everything I write seems to sow the seeds for six more projects. Most individual stories in the series will work as standalones; where that's not the case, the summary or notes will say so.

I write some characters more than others, and have grouped their stories into sub-series accordingly. Wherever possible I've put things into chronological order; this isn't necessarily the order they were written in, but at least might help readers make sense of the timeline. Some fics, though, deal with events across several Ages, and I've unscientifically placed them wherever they seem to fit best.

Title: Second Chance
by Narya [Reviews - 33]
Summary: "Her mind had gradually and independently reached the conclusion that Middle-earth was indeed the world she saw in her dreams. The idea sat uncomfortably with her, and she tried her best not to think about it consciously – it made her head whirl and her stomach roil – but even though she hated to admit it, it made sense...the city, with its wooden houses, fair-skinned occupants and multitude of horses, could so easily be Edoras..."

by Narya [Reviews - 102]
Summary: "They came with a strange suddenness on the grass of Rohan. It swelled like a green sea up to the very foot of the Emyn Muil. The falling stream vanished into a deep growth of cresses and water-plants, and they could hear it tinkling away in green tunnels, down long gentle slopes towards the fens of Entwash Vale far away. They seemed to have left winter clinging to the hills behind. Here the air was already stirring and the sap was flowing again in herb and leaf..." - JRR Tolkien, The Two Towers.rnrnTales of the green land of Rohan.
