This is just the kind of story I like, with action, romance, and the kind of characters I enjoy spending time with. The personalities of Legolas and Glorfindel really shine through, and the resolution is sweet and satisfying. An excellent read.

Author's Response:

Oh thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I'm not so used to writing Legolas with Glorfindel, although it's one of my favourite pairings, so I'm glad the characters came across as convincing to you.

Thanks for the lovely review :)

I had forgotten what a powerful story this is; powerful and tragic and stark, but so beautifully rendered that the tears it evokes are like a benediction.

Author's Response: Thank you! It's been fun revisiting the older stories. Something good came out of ManderFail after all.

This is cute. I love the play on words with "mortal illness" and it would be lovely to have Elves to take care of one when one has a cold. Very entertaining little story.

Author's Response: Thank you - I remember having a distinct case of the sniffles and sneezes when I wrote it - and a sad lack of Elves!

I saw this come up in the random story box and I just had to drop in to mention once again how much I enjoyed this. The descriptions are so very well done, I could really see the scenes in my mind. The pairing of Finrod and Curufin is unusual but you made it work and their connection through their respective oaths is as powerful as it is poignant.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Bard! I'm so glad you stopped by again to read--and review. It's always much appreciated! This story remains one of my favorite projects--it was a real challenge, and I really fell in love with Finrod and Curufin, despite myself and those pesky oaths. :) Hope life is treating you well. I'm so glad you decided to post this here. This is just wonderful from start to finish. All the characterizations are so good here from Haldir with his painful past, Legolas and Haldir's relationship, Thranduil a little tactless but not without feeling for Haldir's plight. And the wild hunt was just a wonder to read. It put me right in the middle of the action. I just don't have enough good things to say about this one, it's one of my favorites.

Title: Falling For You by Glorfindel
Rated: General Audiences [Reviews - 3]

Something furry is just inside, hidden in the darkness, and it's not alone.

This is one of the funniest things I ever read. Elrond the big pussy and poor long-suffering Glorfindel. When the bear throws that knife back at Glorfindel I lost it. lol A totally fun read!

Author's Response: Aw! Thank you so much for your lovely review! I am so glad you found it one of the funniest things you ever read - that's a huge compliment indeed :) *Hugs*

This really made me laugh, and install locks on my cupboards! Now I know who's been stealing my ice cream, and freezer, and going through my papers.

I especially laughed at the cake feeling, the freezer full of steak filets and black truffles, and Elrond's inability to recognize or enjoy or tell a good joke. You managed to capture my love of baking shows, puns, and Elves in this truly hilarious outing. This story gave me a much needed laugh today. Thanks so much!

Author's Response: Thank you :) I am so pleased you enjoyed the story and it made you laugh so much. I had a lot of fun writing this story while imagining you being oblivious to what was going on when watching a much loved cookery programme. But now you know the bigger picture thanks to my informative story lolololololol Get those locks installed! :D
