Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, USA. Presently residing with my cats in Chester, Mass.

I am a retired tool maker. My main interests are reading, building stone walls and Lepidoptera. I also have a taste for Classical Music and Classicist paintings. My favorite artist is John William Godward.

Trivia challenge for LotR movie fans: Identify the genus and species of the silk moth which Gandalf speaks to on the top of Orthanc Tower.

I first read Lord of the Rings in 1970 while in Vietnam. At the time, I was a big fan of Sci-Fi and fantasy novels. My interest in LotR was reinvigorated by the release of Peter Jackson's films, encouraging me to read the trilogy again.

I am presently working on a Middle Earth novel, set during the decade following the War of the Ring, as well as short stories featuring original characters created for the novel.

My favorite character is Arwen.

Somehow, I think the kids were really trying to nip the idea in the bud in a clever manner. The fish soup was probably laced with ipecac.

Since you reviewed "Freida's Frypan Frolic," I thought it only fair that I read your own food related tale. I must say, I laughed out loud several times. Well done!

Author's Response: I am so glad that you enjoyed this. I'm not sure if the boys actually planned it out or not; I can see it happening either way. But I do know that the twins acted from the best of intentions, which is a guarantee that things will go badly especially when dealing with fish and seafood, lol. Thank you again for the kind words.

This is the first story I've read about Legolas' Elvish settlement in N. Ithilien following the War of the Ring. I enjoyed it very much and I home you write more stories about Eryn Ithil in the near future.

Author's Response: Thank you - I am glad that you enjoyed it. There are a lot of stories already written in this 'verse - and I am taking advantage of the chance to upload them here in the proper, chronological, order, rather than the order written. So the next two are set in Imladris - but then comes 'Left Behind!' which is firmly set in Eryn Ithil. I'll doubtless begin to post it here in a couple of weeks or so.

Thank you. I'm pleased you enjoyed this. I think Boromir's death pushed Denethor over the edge. Events in my story take place about five years before the events in LOTR.

Author's Response: Thank you very much Karlmir! I have never watched the Twilight Zone so I cannot say if this is inspired by it too much but it is a funny little idea that came to me a while ago and knawed at me until I had to write it down. It is written up to such and such a point now so I should have more chapters up quite soon.
