So sorry to hear about your cat, Caunedhiel, and keep my fingers tightly crossed for him to be all right and come back. It's so hard to lose them, and harder still to not know what's happened.

Thanks Gabriel. It's hard to take in the things that are happening all round the world at the moment.

Hahaha, this is SO awesome! I would never have believed it possible to pull that off believingly, but you're did it splendidly. Of course the elves would take to surfing like ducks to water, and go about creating surf boards like this! I also really love the idea you start with, in addressing the problem of boredom which immortal beings living in a kind of paradise must doubtlessly face over and over again. A wonderful story which gave me a lovely read.

Author's Response: I did wonder if I could make just believable enough when the idea of surfing elves and beach volley ball came to me! I'm so pleased it worked for you and made you smile - especially after making you cry with A Powerful Absence.

Lovely- made me laugh the idea of the elves surfing! NAd beach volleyball. I'd like ot see both of those things!

Author's Response: It was watching the volleyball at the Olympics on TV that set the train of thought trundling - but they just demanded to try surfing once I got started. And I must say that I do like that mental image myself. I'm busy, now, writing a much longer and more serious story in the series that I will start posting after Christmas.
