Oh no - I hope your cat turns up soon. It's so worrying when a pet goes missing:(

Yes the bit I did was near Ludlow - around the Knighton and Kington sections. I love Ludlow, too!

Thanks, Cheeky. As you've seen, I found it. I'm not long back from a few days walking a section of Offa's Dyke. So tired!

Reviews For The Knot

OK- need to find your Maedhros series please. He is beautiful and misunderstood and flawed- what more could I want. I'm with Fingon here and I love this sort of aloofness you create with him. Not the fiery passion you expect with Feanorians- but I think more accurate= Maedhros was different, more thoughtful, more resilent too perhaps? More tortured.

Author's Response:

More tortured, definitely!

As for the fiery passion, perhaps you might want to have a look here?

You write the best Maedhros/Fingon. I love the conversations they have, and the knot in this one-- that just cracked me up. Those funny bits of awkwardness really make it for me, I think!

Author's Response:

Thank you very much! Of course, with Maedhros/Fingon there is stiff competition, because it has already been done so well by others!

I'm very glad this one works for you. I guess awkwardness and humour is very much part of the way I see things--even the most romantic and tragic moments. Only, it doesn't necessarily make things less romantic or tragic.

This is lovely. Such an unexpectedly sweet, yet funny moment between them -- and something that is far too rare.

Thank you for sharing this.

Author's Response:

I suppose I think tragic elves are as likely to be a little clumsy at critical moments as anyone else! And their bond would only be the stronger, I think, if they had laughed together as well as wept together. At least in my 'verse, they have.

Thank you very much for reading and commenting!

Lovely, poignant, and so close to the end that I cannot help but have tears in my eyes. These two reduce me to a watering-pot every single time I think about their separation.

Author's Response:

Same here. I do think their separation is the saddest thing. Of course, I love them both...
