I know you wrote this some time ago, but I love your style of writing. To me it almost borders on a type of poetry and I like the way you've taken a piece of the silmarillion, that not many, if any would bother to write about. I think Finarfin has been overlooked by many as a character you can explore. Keep up the great writing, albeit a small piece, it still made an impact. :)

I never really liked Arafinwe - I always thought him a bit of a coward. But this story is one of the few that tries to redeem him. It is beautifully written and his thoughts are very clear. Well done:) Looking forward to more amazing pieces like this one.
Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time to review! :) *grins madly* and thanks for the kind words Elvewen :) I wasn't really trying to redeem him when I wrote this, or even had that in mind, I was just trying to portray what I thought Arafinwe thought or felt at the time :) All the best, Caunedhiel xx

Although Finarfin is what I call 'an area of disinterest' lol, this is very well written Caunedhiel. A lovely piece of introspection; you are very good at delving into characters souls.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! *blushes* You've no idea how much that means to me, thanks a million for the review :)

Arafinwe is a complicated character, and I'm quite sure he had a difficult time rebuilding respect for the Noldorin peoples and, by all accounts, he conducted himself well in the War of Wrath. I do note, however, that in that war he too carried one of those "darned swords". A nice character examination.

Author's Response: thank you very much for the review :) I hope I put across the character of Arafinwe well enough, yes he is a complicated characters but all the more interesting because of it :) Thanks again for your review :) Much appreciated
