It's bad enough that I'm pained by arthritis, but now my back has been bothering me for the past few days. Oh! the vicissitudes of old age! I am so very tired. Come, Death. Draw the final curt

A bleak tale but so beautifully written and imagined so clearly. I htink htis is exaclty what would have happened.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to read and review, Ziggy. It really means alot. That little scene between Eowyn and Grima, though it truthfully makes my skin crawl every time I see it, it is an intriguing though an unpleasant thought and I love looking at the 'What if?' perspective of things. Even if the 'What is' isn't a happy one. I am so glad you enjoyed this.

I don't think I've come across a story that's written in Grima's POV or what would happen if he managed to bring Rohan before Saruman . It's very refreshing and I loved your characterization of him and Eowyn! Thanks very much for sharing :)

Author's Response: It is truly my pleasure, thank you! I haven't seen really much involving Grima written and nothing from his POV or set in an AU of events either, I can't remember how or when I came up with this though I am a HUGE fan of AU's and I can look at pretty much any given event in LOTR and kind of muse and build on the 'What might have..' perspective of things. Eowyn and Grima are complete opposites though I do feel some sympathy for Grima as I think some pretty horrible things must have happened to him throughout his life to have him end up the way he did, I don't think anyone could be that low from the get go, they would have to be pushed down again and again. I really enjoy writing Eowyn but Grima kind of left a bad taste in my mouth as in my mind he is a slippery manipulative creature physical appearance be damned, he is just really really low. Thanks so much for the review!
