Aw I love this. I have such a soft spot for Tyelko and how he was a bit of an odd man out in his skill set in this family. I love your use of his language skill here, the tenuous connection to the moth and his respect and distress at its death. It makes me sad to think what death was to him later and how that untrammeled empathy was crushed and twisted by the Oath and all that came later.
Author's Response: I love Tyelko too - and definitely yes to the odd man out! Poor Celegorm :-( his arc breaks my heart. Thank you Nelya.

Interesting exploration of the humble moth and I always enjoy reading anything on Tyelko. He's so intriguing and so fun to write.
Yes, a moth's life is so fleeting and something I find quite sad. Because, they don't appear to have a purpose, except to just exist and be a slave to light.
Author's Response: I love Tyelko too :) and yes, there is something inherently tragic about moths. "Slaves to the light" - definitely some thought provoking parallels there. Thank you, Gabriel.
