I read about Christopher Tolkien's death a couple of days ago. He lived to a ripe old age. Like King Théoden, of the cup of life he enjoyed a full measure.

Wow, this was amazing, such a clever solution and so very typical of Vanimore to sacrifice himself like that. That Manwe did cause the witch hunts and the horrible attitudes of the church at that time does make perfect sense, that pious self sentered prick would really enjoy toying with peoples lives and faith like that. So this does open for the possibility of Tindomion and Maglor meeting again, and that is great, even as a possibility only. A very good story with a very dramatic atmosphere.

Author's Response:

Aww, thank you so much, Nuredhel — And I agree, typical Manwë in this ‘verse. Vanimórë could do nothing else really, as they needed ashes ;__;

Oh Spiced- I wanted Vanimore to break them open and destroy the priest. Why do you let him do this (sob). Too heroic and noble.

Author's Response:

So did I, but for the sake of the history, they needed ashes, and Van wouldn’t have just used some poor villager (not that some of them didn’t deserve it) but it had to be him ;__;
