Ziggy I found Dawn's review quite intriguing and I'm interested in seeing the film. I am also hyped about the Amazon series. Perhaps too much so!

I hope Vanimórë never stops caring for people, that would be incredibly dangerous.

Oof, don't *shivers*

There was one scene (I think in Dark God?) where I did genuinely wonder whether he had fallen, and I was nearly in tears - and when Elgalad punched him for it, I wished I could have done the same! But I think that's the only time I've ever really feared for Van's alignment, because whatever he does, there's always that deep river of compassion in him, and I can't imagine that changing. (Although after what Eru did to him...well :/ )

Author's Response:

Yes, I remember, and Van did say to Fëanor in one of the last chapters of Magnificat that he had come very close, there, in that part of his life. Although I think he’s quite capable of being completely merciless, (Sauron’s blood) I also think it’s balanced by the Fëanorion. Although now, yes, everything is ended in that universe, so what happens after —

Another wonderful addition :) I do love these 'behind the scenes' stories where you show what Van is up to, what he is thinking - and what really comes across here is his respect and affection for Sören, his sense of justice, his care for everyone whose life ends up touching his.

The descriptions at the beginning were beautiful, and I loved his conversation with Coldagnir (so exciting that he's going to be an attendant at the wedding! That's going to be one crazy party :D).

Maglor's rage...phew. But of course he would feel that, I was furious too. Justin is utterly vile and I can't be sorry about what Maglor did. And of course Coldagnir's contribution at the end was perfect - a satisfying image, and a reminder of exactly what these characters are capable of.

Author's Response:

I always enjoy ‘behind the scenes’ to write and to read :)

Well, Verhalen says Coldagnir is going to be an attendant at the wedding :) Should be fun! :D

Yes, I do enjoy  writing Fëanorion’s being Fëanorion, lol. And Maglor had a lot to release. No tears though, Justin was a ghastly specimen!

Also Coldagnir, yes. Mostly these characters have to slide under the radar, but the power is there...

Thank you, Narya :)
