haha! What's in a name indeed!! Great fun.
Author's Response: Such a Celegorm moment - Glorfindel is going to get teased!
A moment I assume in the War of Wrath and the Elves from Aman have seen their long lost kin- it must have been a terrible shock for them. You capture this perfectly of course and as always, the visual impact of your writing is powerful and vivid.
Author's Response: Yes, we're in the War of Wrath here. I'm not quite sure what Finarfin has been doing but it has clearly drained him physically and emotionally - but luckily his cousin is around to be a listening ear.
This is lovely- really nice to read a loving and affectionate moment between the two brothers- and the description of the workshop is beautiful. I have a really vivid picture of it in my head- the light shining on Feanaro's face as he peers at the box, and behind him not quite hiding but not in plain view, Nolofinwe. Lovely.
Full of portent and symbolism this one- and having just read your lovely moment We Kiss in Shadow, it gives this a greater resonance.
Author's Response: Ahh, thank you :) I love this pairing.
Finwe comes across as really quite selfish in this- but perhaps that is because I know what happens to Elernil and that makes his complaint somehow dreadful and appalling because of what his brother endures. And Indis comes out rather well - which is unusual and rather refreshing!
Author's Response: I do see Finwe that way on occasion - again, because I know Edenel's story! I like Indis, though; she's tough as, but I enjoy that about her. And my version of her is kinder than the one from the Dark Prince 'verse proper; she's close to all of her husband's grandchildren, even those not related to her by blood.
omg this was hilarious!
Author's Response: :D I could not resist!
Oh I love these two pieces :) I much prefer on thinking of it, that Míriel should be seen as leaving them both than of some feud between she and Indis :)
Did Elemmakil give that brooch to Voronwë before he went on the voyage?
Author's Response: Thank you :D I agree about Míriel and Indis, although I think Fëanor's feelings were understandable, given the implications of what the Valar decided. And re Elemmakil and Voronwë - yes. More to come about that at some point!
