Lovely- what a fabulous way of bringing them together in this charming fic. I really hope it is not a one off!!
Thank you! Like its not-really-prequel, Midwinter in Eryn Galen, this is not exactly my usual fare, so I'm somewhat insecure about it, and happy that you like it. I did not intend to write more about Legolas and Aragorn back then, but since I now clearly did (if incited by an exchange pinch hit), there might be more, too. ;o) Although nothing longer, I fear, rather snippets and perhaps a drabble or two.
This was different, Ysilme!
The 'Starlight Bathing' was a very interesting concept.
Poor old Gimli, left out of the loop and not quite sure how to assimilate what Celeborn is saying. :)
Thank you for your feedback! Different indeed; I answered an urgent call for a last-minute pinch-hitter (literally, I had two days to draft and write this) and accepted it. I happened to write for the same recipient I once wrote a similar request, which resulted in Midwinter in Eryn Galen, also a fic I'd say is untypical for me. Part of participating at exchanges, also if just as a pinch-hitter, is for me to also accept challenges to my usual writing and comfort zone. I've learned over the years that I profit a lot from this - I don't think "my" Thranduil would have ever come to life without the request which resulted in The Wrath of Dragon Fire. This time, although I didn't plan it that way, the story became the perfect opportunity to use the idea of Starlight Bathing in one of my stories, and introduce it into my own 'verse, if you will. Curiouswombat's Returnverse is among the first series I read when I came into the fandom, and I still love it to pieces; it has so many wonderful ideas and concepts how Elven culture and society works, often different to the more common fanon.
