I’m doing a lot of bird feeding, Ziggy! And foxes, there are some around and I always feel sorry for them, too. Don’t tell anyone, but there is one poor rat that I feed too

Same here- snowed all day. My shetland pony SO resentful about being outside! My TB happy as a lark- charging about the filed, bucking and rearing. But poor little birds- feed them if you can.

Woke up to a blizzard and about 5 inches of snow, of course it’s drifted so it’s not really that deep

We had a good covering of snow yesterday and it’s still snowing. Really fed up with winter now. As Spiced says, thought, it’s forecast to clear soon.

Oh! Narya!

This was beautiful! So beautiful!

I had tears in my eyes when she closed hers and saw the images that materialized with the music.

Dear sweet beautiful Maglor. *His face was like a Renaissance sculpture - Michaelangelo's David, kissed by a god and made alive.* Absolutely exquisite!

Wonderful story! I am still a little teary! :)

Author's Response: Thank you, Gabriel :) I like to imagine that Maglor is still spectacular to look at, even if he shows his age a little more than your average Elf. (Maybe he modelled for Michaelangelo, who knows?!) I'm really glad the descriptions of the music worked for you.

Oh  my dear Narya. This will haunt me.

The most delicate descriptions and images- just such atmosphere. Seriously:

All warm solid walls and sweet grass and the melancholy embrace of history by day, at night it huddled under its black cloak like a hunted witch, watching the town from its prison of iron railings. The gates were locked to deter drunken student escapades, but as the sea breeze whispered through the ancient stones, the place seemed half alive. I wondered whether one day we'd wake up to find it had got up and moved – perhaps wandered away to haunt another clifftop.

And this PERFECT conjuring of music-

The notes folded effortlessly over one another, curling into yearning phrases and soft, teasing questions. Gently the melody lilted and leaned like a spirit the musician had conjured, responding to its creator with ideas of its own, not simply obeying commands.

I am in awe. Exceptional, masterful writing that just blew me away.

Author's Response: Aww, Ziggy! You write the most lovely comments. Thank you, dear, you made my day. I hope you're safe and warm away from the snow! x

This was gorgeous, Narya

and then the melody twisted inwards, and I saw a lonely cloaked figure on a crumbling cliff, staring across the sea. Great fists of cloud curled tightly in the sky, dimming the stars. Slowly the soft notes faded into silence and grey. And at the end — that feeling, yes.

Author's Response: Oh, thank you for commenting twice :) I'm so glad you liked it.
