Yay for everyone joining in with the advent calendar (*waves to Cheeky*). It's probably time we got this show on the road.

Hi there, I’m happy to do the advent story again as long as you can put up with my ridiculousness disrupting your attempts at a more somber mood :-)

Reviews For Water's Edge

Perfect response to Agie's request. Glorfindel is such a hero, love how he doesn't even hesitate to jump in. Very exciting description of that ride down the river. I love the established relationship between Erestor and Glorfindel.

Author's Response:

Hey there *waves*.  Man, I wrote this during a heatwave when ice cold anything seemed like some kind of distant dream. I'm regularly surprised by how it turned out. One thing that worked well for me - two, really - is that Agie and I both like seeing them in an established relationship, and we both rather prefer giving them a happy ending.

I hadn't been on Faerie for a while but decided it was past time I put more of my fics over here and it was great to see you were posting.

I enjoyed this so much!

It is so nice to have Glorfindel involved in something other than battling Orcs. Not that I don't enjoy that.

These two act like an old married couple. Lol Right down to loving each other's mannerisms and habits, not that Glorfindel seems to have any. But Erestor! He made me laugh with his fastidious concerns for his plants. They were so good together!

A great read! :)

Author's Response:

I love writing them as an established couple, there's something so comfortable about seeing them able to read each other so well.  I'm very glad you liked it, Gabriel --- even if there were no orcs :D  Thank you!

Oh you should have HUNDREDS of reviews for this delightful fic! What's not to like?? Erestor snuggled up, Glorfindel stripped off and being heroic, and hurt/comfort. LOvely. And it was snowing:)

Author's Response:

Heh, tough crowd this week :D Would you believe I wrote this in the middle of a heatwave with temperatures approaching 40C? That's what happens when you live on the 'other' side of the world and are writing for a February swap and trying to be traditional for the recipient. It was an experience *g*, but the way it turned out made me smile. Thanks for the very kind words, I'm so glad you liked it. Love writing these two!
