This story was such an enjoyable read!
Wonderful friendship/romance between Thranduil and Celeborn yet tinged with a little sadness!
I have always found it hard to accept the whole idea of the Elves abandoning ME. I guess it's the finality of it, that the story could be over. I don't know about you but I just wish the history could have continued on and the Elves remained in ME. Wishful thinking, I know!
No pressure, but I would love to read more of this story. Is there more in the works? :)
Author's Response: Thanks for this lovely review Gabriel, I appreciate it. Iím glad you liked the romance with this unusual pairing, it came out better than I expected when I started. Like you, I hate the idea of Elves having to leave Middle-earth and like to think at least some of them stayed behind. If you like that idea, you would love the Not Fade Away series by Jael the Scribe on Archive of our Own. Check that out, you wonít be disappointed. Unfortunately I donít tend to follow up or extend stories I write for swaps, but itís an awesome compliment that you would like to read more. Thank you!
So Erestor was an imposter! I didn't see that coming. I really enjoyed this - bittersweet and melancholy. A fitting tale for Elves at the end of their time in Middle-earth.
Author's Response: Thanks, Naledi. I always like to throw in a twist when I can and thought that would be a good one. This pairing was a challenge but when I thoughtr03; of the two of them still in M-e after the war it fell into place. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate your comments.
I really hope you are going to continue this - there is a rising of a new dark lord in the East, an assassination attempt, lovely UST! What's not to like!!
Author's Response: Thanks so much, Ziggy. I think it would be interesting to do a story about the new shadow but I didn't think of continuing this one. If I do get inspired in that direction I will certainly write a sequel. It's very encouraging that you think the story deserves one. It's a great compliment.
Lovely little story. You don't often see celeborm and tranduil paired but it worked well here ! Is there more to the story to come ? Xx
Author's Response: Thanks for your comments, Caunedhiel. I was drawn to this pairing when I got the request. I don't ever seem to get around to writing sequels but I appreciate that the story left you wanting more. Thanks again.
