Most of my teachers were lovely - there were just a couple that were not nice.

I hate hearing about teachers who ruined a child's interest or confidence or curiosity- as a teacher myself, it actually hurts to think how someone has done that. It doesn't happen much now.

I was a very quiet student, easily cowed and very much a loner, nevertheless I was a good student, but he was not a nice teacher :(

Spiced, what a horrible experience about that teacher! That would drive anybody off the subject, I'd imagine.

UnnamedElement, my husband has a doctorate in chemistry, so he might be able to help. *g* Just drop me a note through the PM system here, or at LJ or DW (same name).

Ah- sweet. I like Glorfindel especially but Erestor really steals the show for my money with his knowing sly hints and HUGE wink wink nudge nudges and his cat. I just liek Erestor. The domestic details are really superb here -the movements are small but beautifully performed!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! :D I seem to be incapable of writing a story without Erestor in it these days; he always sneaks in. *g* As do cats. I'm happy, too that the details work for you. I love to write them, but it's always a balance to not overdo them.

Intriguing beginning. It must have been very hard for Glorfindel to come back after such a long time and find everything changed.

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading and reviewing! I thought so, too. I've read lots of stories about Glorfindel's return, but the culture shock he must have experienced is often not much mentioned.

Oh, this was very sweet, and also explained much of Elrond -- it was good that he had Glorfindel there. I am sure the recipient enjoyed this, Ysilme :)

Author's Response:

Thank you, I'm happy you liked it! This Elrond is angstier and more troubled at this time in his life than my main headcanon version, to follow he request for the exchange. But I do see him with similar worries and anxieties, as this time must have been a major turning point for all elves in general, and for some, like he, in particular.
