It would be strange watching any adaption for me, so used to fanfic, lol. I would be keep thinking of the pairings I read and scratching me head :D

I'd really love to see Celebrimbor and Annatar in the Second Age...and maybe Gil-Galad too...although it would be weird seeing him without his Istelion! ;-)

Not the Silmarillion, that would be a separate agreement if it happened at all, but the Appendices are open it seems

I'm always baffled by what is and isn't on the table, rights-wise, but if Christopher T has resigned, does that mean we could get an adaptation of the Silm (or parts of it)?

Article on The One Ring.net - Christopher Tolkien has resigned as director of the Tolkien Estate. This could change 'everything' to quote.

Royd Tolkien just confirmed it on his twitter account. No details other than that.

I should think they'll have actors falling over themselves for this. If it's done well the fandom will go boom!

The One Ring.net is a good place to get the latest.

I found the link. It all seems very vague atm. I look forward to hearing more once they've got news on story, etc.

I have the same complaint an earlier reviewer had. Where are all the reviews? This is wonderful! I love how you take secondary characters and bring them to life! The graphics were perfect! Initially, I thought this fic would be about Tauriel, but it's about Dwalin. So moving and funny and sad and gorgeous!

I absolutely love your grumpy Dwalin!

Almost finished, and I will be sorry to see this tale come to an end. It's really a wonderful tale.

Dwalin grunted. Yavannah was Mahal's wife and if the elves wanted to believe such silliness, well, they were elves. Truth was, he believed Mahal mixed his wife's paints with the colors found in his mines.

I have been reviewing on other sites, but wanted to get caught up. And I adore this. Why the heck isn't this brimming with positive reviews for each chapter? What is wrong with these people? This is more than delightful and I can't wait to read the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading. This story, much like Loving Gin, hasn't garnered numerous reviews, or readers. I can only surmise that many aren't huge dwarf fans or the fact I haven't written a lot of hawt smex, like I have for the Rohirrim. Really, it's anyone's guess. I enjoy writing them, so there's that. Thanks again!
