I'm greatly enjoying your advent calendar, thank you for this wonderful present. I hope you all have a beautiful holiday. Back to my frozen farm and very fuzzy horses now.

Hi Nelya! I'll take Wednesday, if that's okay. Stay with the day I started with. :D Can't wait to see how this evolves.

It's been an odd winter here, we've had barely any snow in a country that usually gets a lot. I can see grass, it's weird.

Gabriel--let me know if you want Wednesday--otherwise I can take Wednesday.

Our tree went up last night. No snow here yet but I'm not complaining! I can do Wednesday or Friday--unless Gabriel wants one of those

A beautiful story! I kinda wish you would continue it but at the same time it was ended perfectly.

I thoroughly enjoyed Legolas challenging Glorfindel on his assumptions about youth and Elrond lecturing Glorfindel on laying with a 'child'. I found it a very interesting look into the mind of an ancient lord and makes you question what it would be like to live for eternity - sometimes it's good to be mortal.

Anyway,a great story and I look forward to your next piece of writing whatever it may be!

Author's Response: Thank you Lalaith! Yes - just trying to imagine living for thousands of years is no easy exercise. I am glad you liked it, and thanks so much for commenting :)

Can't believe I missed this! What a gorgeous story. I love how you address the age difference, how Legolas stands his ground against Glorfindel's assumptions and wins his heart. And yay for slashy Legolas and Glorfindel!

Author's Response: YAY! A review! A REVIEW!!!!! I was so disappointed to not get a single review, so you just made my day! legolas is obviously younger and a little more vulnerable in this, so I enjoyed showing some of those aspects that don't usually come out in The Protege. So glad it worked.
