This is the first time I have read a story on Gilraen. And it was so beautifully written.
I found the way the Elves treated her, with such reverence and understanding, so wonderfully done. What made you choose Glorfindel, instead of Erestor or someone else? Anyway, it was a great idea, nonetheless.
Everything from her time in mourning to her decision to begin her life anew, perfect.

Such a great read! I loved it! :D

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoyed this. It began as a prompt during Back to Middle Earth Month in 2015 when Binka asked for ' a relationship/romance between Gilraen and Glorfindel'. I'd never really thought of such a possibility, but I wanted to see if I could make it work.

I find they still come into my mind at odd moments and I actually wrote a set of drabbles, st some years later, a few months ago. I don't think I posted them here -I should, but in the meantime they are on my journal here if you want to read them.

“O! Tra-la-la-lally

Here down in the valley!”

The Lord of Imladris burst out laughing, and then joined in.

“My daughter used to sing that as a child,” he said.

Suddenly he seemed more like a person to Gilraen, although she had not realized until now that he had a daughter.

LOve those references! Love the whole gentleness of this and that gorgeous dance of courtship of first flush of love. Beautifully written as always.

Author's Response:

Thank you. I wanted to show her slowly emerging from the fog of loss and become more aware of her surroundings, and of herself as a very young woman! I am considering that this could easily expand - maybe in a few months time....
