This was wonderful! I can't wait for the sequel!
Author's Response: It was great having you along for the ride. So glad you stumbled across my story. I really appreciate all of you supportive reviews. I hope you'll come along for Part 2.
Wow, that was one huge pile of interconnecting conspiracies and underhanded operations! The way you made everything fit together in a way that actually makes sense is nothing short of impressive... It also made me sigh a bit. If anything, this story is a wonderful illustration of how one simple rule can damage people's lives in many ways...
Part of me hopes that Rumil and Turon will get together after all. I realize it's probably not going to happen, but still. *deep, deep sigh*
As always, this was a great chapter, entirely worth the anticipation I felt for it ^^
Author's Response: Love your response to this chapter. It's exactly what I hoped the reader would feel. Never know until you put it out there. One to go and Ru and Turon will tie up loose ends. Then I'll start the next story when Rumil ventures to Mirkwood.
This was beautiful, well-thought-out and heartbreaking. I loved every word of it! Poor Rumil... I also feel sad for Fandir though; scorned love is painful...
The whole plan with the moonflower was worked out so well, I love how you had all the puzzle pieces fall together here. And I already realized that in this story Haldir is more underhanded than one might assume, but sabotaging his brother's (love)life for the sake of his own reputation was just plain cruel. I hope Rumil will give him a hard time for that...
Anyway, great read as always! I started reading this story on a whim, but now I really look forward to your updates!
Author's Response: I'm really glad you gave this a chance, and that you are enjoying the read. So yea, poor Rumil is having a tough time of it. Haldir hasn't helped much I'm afraid. The next couple chapters will tie up some loose ends, and yes, Hal will explain himself. He will also make up for his poor choices, and ... well, you'll see. Don't want to give anything away. I'm already working on another Rumil story, kind of a continuation of this one. It's been fun writing for these boys. I think another adventure is due.
I was really looking forward to this chapter! I admit that I already suspected that Turon wasn't really a servant, but that he was hired by Haldir still came as a big surprise! Poor Rumil... *sigh* And now I'm super curious to know who the mystery elf might be! I honestly don't have a clue...
Author's Response: Good, that's the response I hoped for. The next chapter will take you on a journey down memory lane, and tie in with Rumil's current day investigations. Thanks for reviewing. Always a pleasure to see.
Oh no... OH NO... Poor Rumil... Poor Turon... Whyyyyy? *sigh*
Author's Response: Things are going to start unfolding soon.
This is a wonderful story, full of this quiet suspense simmering under the surface... I love it! I am worried for poor Rumil now; I feel something bad is going to come his way...
Author's Response: This is so great to hear. It's just what I hoped to achieve. Some twists and turns on the way with this one. Thanks for following along and reviewing.
Beautifully written... I rarely ever read third age fics, but your description drew me in, and I love what you're doing with this!
Author's Response: Thanks for giving my story a shot. The main reason I made it third age is because I've made the setting within Lothlorien's army, and I've always thought that by the fourth age, Lorien had pretty much emptied out. Besides that, it really has nothing to do with the original story. Just an idea I got that I wanted to expand on.
I was going to review after I read the first chapter but I was on my phone and at work (lol!). Absolutely love this story!!! Haven't really read a story about the Lorien brothers for almost a year and this was just what I needed to get back into the mix. Love the detailed OC's. It's very refreshing to see well rounded characters interact closely with one another, it really pulls you into the story. Keep up the good work! Even though people do not leave a lot of reviews, I know they're just as excited about the next part as I am :).
Author's Response: So glad you're enjoying the story. I've been writing fan fiction for a while now, long enough to know that if Legolas is not one of the main characters, you probably won't get many reviews. That being said, lol, I've got an idea for a follow up story for Rumil, co-starring the princely one. It really is a shame that more people don't review. I don't think they understand just how needed they are. And sure, I could say it's not important, but a review can really brighten an author's day. It's acknowledgment that someone has not only read it, but taken the time to tell the author their thoughts. So I thank you for your kind words, and I hope you'll continue to enjoy the story.
