I enjoy writers who can create stories in drabbles. Being able to paint those word pictures in numbered series amaze me. I like what you have done here and in particular enjoy your Thranduil.
Thank you so much, that means a lot! I find Drabbles particularly difficult since I'm not writing in my own language, but find that they also help me to improve my lingual skills. It's also not as easy to create a story with tolkien_weekly, as we usually get the prompts one after another, but as the other participants are doing it I tried it as well, and am glad when it works.
I would have never thought about nutmeg with potatoes. I use nutmeg with asparagus when I am making quiche. That with a cheese sauce ought to be rather good.
Do absolutely try it, it's delicious, particularly on mashed potatoes and gratins/casseroles. With a dash of freshly grated nutmeg and freshly-ground black pepper, even mashed potatoes-out-of-the-bag (however that is called in English) or potatoe soup become delicious. :o)
I loved that piece of art by Jenny Dolfen. This was sweet, and I hope you write more, and longer works, Winterwitch, as I would love to read them. I am a reader of long stories rather than drabbles, and so I hope to encourage you. :)
Thank you, also for your encouragement! That means a lot. I'm still new to this fandom, as far as fanfic goes, but am indeed working at longer stories. The drabbles serve as a kind of finger exercises and to get a feeling of the characters I want to write about.
