Wow my spelling sucks a night I meant heir
Aw how can you hate this story I love it! So dark and sinister. Perfect way to end a Sunday lol! But seriously good job. The House of the White Snake has a very interesting history. They kindda reclaimed some better qualities when Nirthon was claimed air and Thranduil... Well at least he doesn't drink himself to death (hopefully).
I didn't like it because it was so hard to write, it's a multi chapter fic condensed and I rewrote it about six or seven times and I'm still not happen XD one day I shall write it properly. They do kind of reclaim their better qualities with Nirthon and Thranduil (who probably watches his liver.)
Miriel is so kick-ass as a Queen! I love how completely your interpretation of her character differs from the norm. I once read her story and thought she was this weak woman who was more than a little selfish to abandon her own child, but you’ve made me re-think her entirely with all your powerful writings of her :D
This was awesome: "You have addressed your submission to some woman named Serindë. There is no such woman living in this Palace. I am Þerindë. Leave. Return in a day and make sure your submission is actually addressed to one of your monarchs."
Gosh I love this woman lol! Nice work on this one :D
I am SO glad that I am making you rethink Miriel because I love her heaps! Strangely enough what you said about your first reading is what I thought as well before I reread it. Very strange beginning thoughts for my favourite character. My Miriel in any verse is fiesty :) she's supposed to be stubborn in the Silmarillion. Thank you so much again :D
I've really enjoyed reading these snippets, Urloth, you have such great creativity. It feels like there is so much more of a story behind every little snapshot. And it's just so earthly and uncompromising; the characters and their emotions and reactions are very real. I especially liked the scene with Indis and her great grandmother. I love how no nonsense so many of your elves are. Baking bread, of course they would. Efficiently too.
Thank you very much! I really enjoyed the challenge. There is far more story to most of the snap shots but sometimes I didn't have the time to do more, sometimes I had to hold myself back so I wouldn't wind up writing 50k stories XD I'm glad you liked the Indis chapter especialy, and the bread. I worked hard on that one. Because I was worried at the reaction. I've been flamed before you see for admitting I don't really like Indis.
