I LOVE this! It's so much more compelling and 'ture' that the Ainur, of whom Gandalf is one, would actually be on the side of Feanor- and who better than Eonwe. Of course I think you now need ot write several more chapters of this:D

I am itching to write that next scene between Feanor and Eonwe. I imagine that most of the Noldor are tip-toeing around their new king, not wanting to speak up too loudly against Feanor lest the madness he’d unleashed upon the Teleri gets turned on them. And then here comes Eonwe who isn’t going to coddle Feanor one bit, and is more than willing to give him a piece of his mind and say things how they are. Oh the possibilities! Oh the delicious tension :D
I could have totally seen Osse as being that Ainur who sided with the Exiles if it wasn’t for the kinslaying. He’s never struck me as someone who gave a fig about the Valar’s commands, and sided with Morgoth for a while after all. And while I don’t like most Ainur, I do think there are a few of them who would have wanted to do right by the elves.
Thank you so much for the review :D It’s wonderful to hear you liked this little piece of wistful what if :D
“If you let the Children go forth to battle the Darkness that was our duty, then be accursed and named fainthearted and oath-breakers. But as for me, I will not forsake those The One gave into our protection.
I wish this had happened! And I completely agree with Eonw
aHHHhhhh oh yes I like this VERY. VERY much. :D You go Eonwe! I love AU's, and fics that change a single thing which has an amazing effect elsewhere.
Thank you, Urloth :D I have a weakness for AU’s too, all the possibilities, its really endless :D
